Yerevan è la capitale dell’Armenia e una delle città piu antiche al mondo.La città si estende sotto lo sguardo della montagna biblica Ararat che assomiglia ad una coppa dorata ed è coperta di neve tutto l’anno. Una lastra di basalto con iscrizione cuneiforme Urartu ha portato alla luce da parte degli archeologi nella parte sud orientale della città, l’anno di fondazione di Yerevan che risale a 2791 anni fa.
La moderna Yerevan è una città in continuo cambiamento, con palazzi di archittettura unica in basalto, tufo decorati con pietra onice, è un esempio contemporaneo dell’antica Babilonia e Ninive.
